MIT CAPD Employer Insights: Resources and opportunities to engage with MIT talent

Dear Chinenyem,

May was a month of milestones across MIT, with more than 3,600 students graduating and many others launching into summer internships, research experiences, and new professional opportunities around the world.

As the MIT community transitions into the summer months, we remain grateful for your continued partnership and support of our students and alumni. We truly value the opportunities you help create through your recruiting efforts and engagement with our community and look forward to connecting you with MIT talent in the academic year ahead.

As we prepare for the 2026–27 academic year, I’d like to share a brief update and glimpse into recruiting at MIT. Below, you’ll find information on these topics and more:

• MIT's Fall Career Fair, our premier recruiting event, where you can join 220+ other organizations in connecting with 4,200+ MIT and Harvard students.

• “Recruit at MIT” webinar June 15th at 2:00pm EDT and a link to register.

• Scheduling on-campus programs, events, and interviews, as well as our recruiting calendar and guidelines.

• Joining CAPD's Employer Connection Program, for those interested in receiving additional assistance from CAPD when recruiting at MIT.

If you have questions about recruiting MIT undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, and recent alumni, please do not hesitate to reach out or email our Employer Relations team at hiremit@mit.edu.

Interested in MIT career fairs and recruiting events?

Throughout the academic year, CAPD, student organizations, and academic departments host a variety of career fairs, expos, networking events, and recruiting programs designed to connect employers with MIT talent across a wide range of industries and areas of expertise.

In addition to larger campus-wide recruiting events, many programs offer opportunities to engage with students in more focused or specialized fields — helping employers connect with talent aligned with specific technical, research, and industry interests.

We encourage employers to visit our Annual Career Fairs at MIT page to explore upcoming recruiting opportunities and begin planning for the 2026–2027 Academic Year. The page will continue to be updated over the year as dates, details, and additional programming are finalized.

Recruiting Guidelines & Resources

As a reminder, employers who recruit at MIT are expected to follow our recruiting guidelines and provide a positive experience for all candidates. The Employer Relations Team is available to guide you through the recruitment process.

This fall, employers who extend offers to candidates are asked to provide MIT students four (4) weeks or longer to make a decision on an internship or full-time job offer. Join our Employer Connection Program and Partner with CAPD

To maximize the effectiveness of your recruiting program at MIT, join CAPD's 2026‐27 Employer Connection Program (ECP), which offers added guidance and support, as well as unique opportunities to increase your organization's visibility with students, postdocs, and campus partners.

Joining ECP and receiving CAPD support helps you cut through the noise and connect you with the MIT community. Members of the Employer Relations Team will assist in the planning of programs and marketing your opportunities to students and postdocs.

There are four levels of membership that provide a variety of benefits and can be customized to your organization's needs. We aim to onboard all members by August 28. Organizations interested in joining ECP or learning more about membership opportunities are encouraged to contact Francis Borrego at fborrego@mit.edu by July 31.
