There is a specific kind of wind that exists only near the sea. Not the city kind but the kind that wraps around your skin, slows you down, makes you inhale for just a few seconds longer. Spending all of our summers near the sea, we think about fabric differently there. What clings, what breathes, what you want wrapped around you when you’re walking along the beach. That’s where our wraps come from, really. The idea of something simple and beautiful that you actually use. Handprinted cotton, natural dyes. The kind of object that looks better the more it’s worn. Tied at the hips, draped over the shoulders, worn into the evening. We picked them with Soleil in mind. A certain aesthetic. A certain unhurriedness.
